One-Act Play In Which We Enjoy Some Cute Poems, Read Liltingly

What we love, we mention. And, tangentially, Then I must love you because I mention you all the time.

“Tea for You, Too”, Ron Padgett

I think this poem is cute. Also consistent with the above lines.

“Lilting”, Derrick Austin

Good vibe poem. In bed, we are lavender together and I don’t quite have any idea what that could mean but I want it all the same. I also just love the word liltingly and its derivatives, or should I say ancestors (or perhaps integrals?), ever since reading Devin Kelly’s “As Light”, which for the record, if I had to rank poems, would be up there. Rhythm. Lilt. Oscillation.

“love version of”, Richard Scott

I really like this one, part for the image of those wonderful naps, part for the everything else being bullshit, part for the tone which reminds me kinda of Frank O’Hara, particularly with the but then you smile thank fuck and just the word order and phrase order or something of the sort. Difficult for me to put a finger on.

“One-Act Play In Which Everyone Takes Moral High Ground, Except My Cucumbers, & All Suffer”, James Bowden

And then here’s one that I wrote yesterday (?) that I kinda liked, playing with another poet’s form as starting point, all this is described below the poem at the link. Anyhow, kinda dark, and I still appear to be on this therapy theme and was actually prompted to post this here after noticing more posts on my instagram about therapy, particularly one about DBT which I mean I am surprised to know about but here I am anyway because I heard Pete Davidson describe it. Funny how life works.
