Poetry, and naps

“Essays in Love”, Alain de Botton

Came across some various lines from these essays (via Trivarna Hariharan) that were nothing surprising, but nice to read all the same. Almost insightful?

“Telemachus’ Detachment”, Louise Gluck

“Antilamentation”, Dorianne Laux

So I don’t love this poem, but the end is nice. calm as a house, reminds me of I crouch like a crow / contrast in the snow from Bon Iver’s “Blindsided” which has to be one of my favorites of theirs.

Ada Limon says that she is grateful for poetry, and for naps. I concur. Which reminds me of

“sublimey”, James Bowden
